The Office of Social Impact is committed to partnering with the social impact sector to unlock its full potential in delivering inclusive employment, community benefit and sustainable outcomes for marginalised Queenslanders.
We are seeking public feedback on priority issues for government action and collaboration, building on the recent survey of the sector by the Queensland Social Enterprise Council and targeted consultation with the Social Impact Advisory Roundtable.
We invite social enterprises, the for-purpose sector more generally including intermediaries, community organisations and not-for-profits, as well as other interested organisations and individuals to provide input.
Background
Queensland is home to approximately 2,000 social enterprises, spanning a range of sizes, sectors, and stages of development. These enterprises and the broader for-purpose sector are critical in supporting local communities and Queenslanders.
The Queensland Government has established an Office of Social Impact within Queensland Treasury. The Office is developing a roadmap for social enterprise and impact investors and an $80 million Social Entrepreneurs Fund.
Next steps
We invite responses on priority issues for government action and collaboration by 26 June 2025. This information will contribute to the development of a roadmap and associated actions to strengthen the sector.
To provide your feedback please complete the questionnaire below.
When completing the questionnaire, you can save your responses as you go.
The questionnaire is a mix of closed and open-ended questions. Open-ended questions allow up to 3,000 characters (approximately 500 words) per question. It may take you around 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire depending on the detail you provide.
We will also be holding virtual workshops, in partnership with Queensland Social Enterprise Council, to get input.
This is a pivotal opportunity to strengthen the impact of Queensland’s social impact organisations. Your insights will help shape a future with a thriving social impact sector.
We look forward to your contributions.
