The Queensland Government is committed to an energy system that is affordable, reliable and sustainable for all Queenslanders as reflected in the Queensland Energy Roadmap.

Queensland Treasury has drafted a Code of Conduct for Renewable Energy Developers (the Code) and draft Industry Guidance on the Code of Conduct (Industry Guidance).

Together, the Code and the Industry Guidance set expectations for behaviour across the development, construction and operation phases of large-scale wind, solar and battery projects by encouraging developers to engage genuinely with affected stakeholders, manage project-related impacts effectively, and deliver meaningful benefits to communities.

The Treasurer has engaged the Clean Economy Expert Panel (Panel) to provide independent advice to support public consultation.

This Panel’s advice will help to inform effective implementation of the Code and Industry Guidance in a way that reflects community expectations.
